I only ride dunes so I'm not really worried about it. Mostly dragracing and climbin treeshots. I havent even really had a close call.

Any performance difference between the powerbong and the stock header?

Mine was sent to HPC for thermal coating. It will never rust or get that burnt brown color....:D

Yes.

I installed mine with a stock motor and after upping the pilot jet I definitly got a little more umph out of the motor. It seemed to help on mid to topend. The curves of the pipe are different than stocker so it might take away a little more torque but helps on top speed.

Shift, you should be. I took off my stock heelguards right after I got my machine. Looked good.
Part 1:
A few months later on an off camber hill, foot bobbled on peg, tire grabbed foot. Thanks to my Alpinstars, I didn't break anything. Limped badly for 6 weeks to remind me. Thought I may have cracked my head (I ALWAYS wear a helmet too)I hit so hard. I'm not a little guy either. 6'3" 240ish. Heelguards went right back on.
Part 2:
Picked up a cheap set of 450r pegs, didn't want to cut the guards to fit. Went out for a day. Took one jump at least 10 times. Well, on the 11th, you guessed it. Foot bobbled, tire grabbed right foot.
My head slammed into my bars and I was thrown to the ground, violently. Eight stitches to my right eyebrow where I contacted the front brake reservoir(through my goggles), and I broke the tip of both my raduis and ulna off at my wrist in my right arm.

You guys do what you like but I think having some sort of heelguard is just as important as wearing a helmet and good riding boots.

Hey if you want to know why you should always unload your quad from your truck using ramps, I could take a picture of my full leg cast!

Not trying to preach to anyone. Just sharing my most preventable bonehead moves and resultive injuries.:D

why ya'll used the powerbomb header over the full HMF kit. FMF header gives more power or what? just wonderin cuz i'm about to do a complete exhaust on mine.

i don't use healguards or nerfs either. I hate healgaurds they fill up with mud. and nerfs just get hung up on stuff.

Not a power bomb, but a good reason to have nerfs. Nothing like getting T-boned by a utility quad.:o
