a 2000 polaris sportsman 500 with a scrambler 500 carb full t4 exhaust k&n air filter brush guard if front and rear 2,500 warn wench scott grips clutch kit it fast i drag race my raptor at the dunes and i raced the sportsman agenst some stock 40oex with paddles and beat them off the line till the hit 3rd and 4th gear i have all the stock parts to if you want it stock! it is my das bike and he is looking for a sport quad he might want some money with you quad but what do you think of a trade for that

I would trade but only even up. I have about $7000 invested in my quad. I will let it go cheap for cash. But, If I trade it will be for somthing around $3500 to $4000 .

It is in a LT230 frame. But it was built alot stonger for this motor.

The frame is a lt230. What is the motor ? One side says honda and the other has a S on it for suzuki. Or did you do that to honor the frame? Is it electric start, I cant see the kick start?

nice looking quad I might be interested. I need to finish my e-bay aution first on my quad.

The motor is a Honda XR500 but has a rm250 ignition system on it. That is why it reads honda on one side and Sizuki on the other. The response of this quad is like a two stroke (very quick). It really turns the heads where ever it goes. It is a kickstart machine also.

What did you do fab up a plate for a side cover?
Does it have tons of torque, or a lot of top end?
Did you mod the gear box or are they stock motorcycle gears?

I'm just asking a bunch of questions because I have just stayed away from hybrids like the plague, but this looks to be well put together.

I've never personally seen a 230 so are they good size or are they kinda cramped? would you trade for a stock z400? How is this bike for MX?trails? any quirks or weird things about it?

Oh yes it does.... I just didnt have them on at that time. I had to find a set for an LT230. It has them now and they work great. Thanks for trying to find a flaw... Some people have nothing better to do. By the way if it didnt have them it would still be worth what I am asking.

I am 6' 210 and this quad fits me fine. It looks small in the pics. It has both torque and top end (very powerful). This machine is very light so for MX it could be a little tricky would take getting use to. But for trails and dunes it is an awsome machine. The fabbed side cover was done from a solid piece of aluminium fits and works awsome for the RM250 ignition. Evryone is tricked when they see honda on one side and suzuki on the other. It is a simpler wiring harness with quicker throttle response. The only thing I can complain about is that it is a tipical honda (cold blooded).

i had a 230, and they are the size of a mojave or around just more fun....

bump for a sick bike, i have NEVER seen this big of motor in a 230 frame, only 2 stroke 250 bikes motors. kudos to you doing it first.

hey we weregoing to trade my protoge for your quad do you still want to i found some rust on it but it can be covered up and it needs 2 front tires for the 17inch rims but i hae the snow on the car is easy worth 1,900 so it should be a goo trade
