has anyone else seen or used these? they are just lengths of allthread cut to to same lengths as stock. what kind of junk is that. anyone can buy all thread and drill and tap there cylinder for the bigger studs. thats cheap if you ask me. buy a grade 8 piece of all thread and goto town.

I think Laz has some actual bolts that are made for the cylinder...

does anyone know what htread the factory studs are? i know they are a size 10 bolt but the threads are differant. they arent common. i didn't even have any taps or bolts for them at my work. and i work at a huge machine shop/welding shop

i got mine from Laz at gt thunder there 10 mm diameter much thicker than stock I beleive the bottom of the studs goin into the cyl. was 7/16coarse thread but I had them put in at a local shop drillin & tappin it didnt bother me but having to be dead straight on without error did so I sent it out for that reason.

if they didn't change the pitch to a corse thread like the gt thunder I doubt they will hold up much better then stock. The gt's use a 7/16 corse pitch which gets a lot deeper into the aluminium. I don't think I would be too happy with what I'm seeing.

the studs are stronger for sure but the coarse threads seem to me they have much more to grab onto than the stock threads & theres no problems with mine I run a 12.5 to 1 440 & redline all day .

i think that would work if done properly.it doesnt have to say "sparks"on it for it to work.i see clowns all the time paying crazy oem prices for castle nuts etc when i go to the hardware store and get the same thing cheaper.i guess theres a sucker born every minute:mad:

yea i would agree. i saw on ebay there was a guy selling the crf450 cam chain for the 400ex for $75 and he has sold over 30 he said. i told him it was messed up. you can buy them for like $25 with shipping

sparks is a rip-off on alot of things, especailly their 4 strke stuff, they get almost $1000 for their 450r/crf450r ignition system, YOU send them your side cover and wiring hraness and they machine it and modify the harness for a cooling fan, using the crf flywheel, part fo the crf harness and sttff

$427 of stuff and they charge $1000???????? rip-off, yes ,very much. I don't think machining of the cover could cost $500. the sparks cams for the 450r are really different year crf450r cams and they charge over honda price. Sparks=rip off. my friend is a big beliver in sparks stuff, he pays dealer price for their stuff and its still a rip-off. he has their pipe, igniton, cam, valves,carb , I couldn't justify the cost, for what he payed for the stuff, you can install the crf motor, cam, wiring and such and still pay less than he did.

Sparks=rip off

yup but there will always be clowns that pay those high *** prices because they see a magazine add "claiming" that their favorite racer rides with this engine kit.i just think its really pathetic to see all this $$ dumped into a quad when %99 of them are trail ridden by novices.moral of story? a $15000 dollar quad wont be of much use if your at the back of the pack in the woodsman class.leave the "long travel" front ends to the riders that actually need it:D :D there im done:)

honestly.....I didn't need the pro caliper quad that I own, but I was gonna buy a quad and I thought...... buy a used 250r. 400ex, replace the shocks, axel, a-arms, do some motor work, then have to fix/rebuild stuff or buy a ready to go bike with everything I could ever need for 2g's more than I'd be done with a normal used bike.
