Is that plastic the 300EX Maier racing style fenders, just shaved by you? Or did they come just like that? Or hell, are they even 300EX plastics? If you don't care just tell me soon, I have to restore a 1993 300EX from the ground up. Mine was repoed and I had one at a friends in Indiana. Just pure luck he kept it for me. I plan on getting everything from tires up to the handlebars. Well not buying EVERYTHING more or less, restoring the looks of the frame by getting it a black metallic flake powdercoating, yoshiumura exhaust, FST 330 big bore kit, FST oil cooler system, FST hard weld on the rocker arms, stage 3 webcam (WCS), racing valve spring kit (WCS), Bead lock rims (Black) mounted with Razr's, new plastic (front/back), + 2 swingarm (LSR), axcaliber axle (LSR), works front/back suspension (+2 on rear), Armadillo +2's with tie rods, plus LSR carrier, and some more. Alot more most likely.

This is what I am starting out with.
400EX carb (162 main jet), 38mm Mikuni 300EX carb, DG V-pro (v-lite) bumper, Moose handguards, Dirt skins shock covers, outerwears prefilter, K&N airfilter, DG header/exhaust, some kind of aftermarket swingarm skid plate (Can't remember the name of it), Uni air filter, fly racing handle bars, and hope.

Also, where can I find a set of 300EX air scoops and 42 pilot jet.

They'er Maier 300EX fenders. But they were the stock style. I just trimmed them down like that to get something unique. I used to have the regular race-cut fenders from Maier, and I hated the way they fit.

Thanks, I always appreciate the comments I get. I sitll feel like there's so much more I can do to it though. Which, is why I'm saving up right now to get more done to it. May eventually look into getting the nastiest motor I can built for it. I've got 2 plans for the motor right now.

Motor choice 1
.080 overbore with a Wiseco piston, ported and polished head, larger valves, prolly some titanium valve springs, new rockers, cam from either Sparks or Web, and have the head decked to bring the compression ratio to around 12:1. This is what I'm looking into for right now. This way, I could get one of my younger cousins started riding it more often, and perhaps get him started in MX.

The next choice, which would be if I just wanna go all out, would be to prolly find a 250X motor, and prolly go with a Sparks 425cc package. But, with the amount of money that this would cost, I'm kinda doubting this one will happen. However, I would like to do it just to see how it turned out.

Anyways, for right now I'm happy with how it runs. So I'm just going to work more on getting it setup for some light MX duty, and freestyle.

I am soon going to completely redo the 300EX and I am thinking of a look.

What about this?

Black handle bars, black nerf bars with black netting, black handle bar guards, black rear/front maier racing style fenders, carbon fiber 250R scooped hood, chrome a-arms (+2"), chrome swing arm (+2), DG V-pro bumper (chrome), DG swing arm skid plate, black powder coated frame with metallic flakes, DG grab bar (chrome), chrome foot pegs, black bead lock rims with IRAZR or RAZR2's mounted on them, a yoshimura full exhaust, and a black seat with a touch of white on the sides.

What do you think of that? Should it look good or should I put more color into it? I also plan on adding a few stickers here and there like with the after market things I have on it, also a custom tribal honda sticker my gf drew up for me (it's bad***) I'll post it on here soon.

Please give me some ideas if you think it should have more.

Thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate everyone's positive responses. My only problem right now, is that I wish I could get my stuff sold, so that I could start my rebuild. I've pretty well got everything planned out, but can't really get started on anything until I get my other parts sold.

Well, I'm hoping to get my Z400 sold sometime, and then I'm prolly gonna start putting money together for a new kickstart 450R. When I do get it, I'm not gonna do anything at first. I wanna ride it for a while and get it broken in while it's still under warranty. Then, when the warranty's up, I definitely have no intentions of holding back on the buildup.

But, as for right now I'm just trying to see what I can do to my 300. Hopefully I've given some of the other 300 riders ideas as to some things that can be done to them with a little time, effort, and some hard earned cash.

I really enjoy riding the 300, and I definitely have no intention of selling it. I do however, hope that in the next few weeks, I'll be able to get some of my parts sold, and get started reworking it. I don't wanna give away any of my ideas as to what I'm doing. Not that I'm anything classified or top secret. I just want it to be something that when it's done and I get pictures of it, it'll definitely have a little more of a wow factor. Mostly doing cosmetic stuff, but there will be some performance pieces thrown in as well.

Anyways, as I've said before, thanks for all of the compliments. I really appreciate everyones positive comments.

how much u selling your Z for i am selling me 300ex and getting a Z

I'm selling the Z for about $4k. It's a 2004, with some pretty low hours on it. I only ever ride it for about 5-10 minutes, to keep the fluids moving through it. I only have it because I co-signed for a friend to get it, then he decided to leave me stuck with it. Oh well, before he decided to stop paying on it, he put on some nice aftermarket parts.

Right now it has
LRD Pro4 full exhaust
K&N filter and been rejetted
has AC ProPeg nerfs (the style that have removeable heelgaurds) AC bumper
AC grabbar
black Pro Taper SE handlebars with a white bar pad
Acerbis MX type handgaurds
OMF radiator scoops
polished parking brake block-off
Sunline RM250R clutch perch
high output stator from Ricky Stator
also had a couple things like the wheels powdercoated black

This is the most recent pic I have of it, although it's still several months old and doesn't show some of the newest stuff on it.

To get the hood to fit right and look good, there is a fair amount of trimming required. The hood only needs a very small amount of trimming, but the front fenders need quite a bit to get it to look right.
