u think its time to change my oil filter

ive prob been through 8 changes of oil since ive got my 400 and its been like 2 years agoe so do u think its time to change it cause im not getting much rpms

I hope your kidding! Yes you should've already changed the filter. It's such a cheap part, I do it with every oil change.

Good dear lord!, Change the filter EVERYTIME you change the oil, changing oil and not putting in a new filter is pointless. We should ahve a thread on the proper way to service a quad!

dude, You need to change the filter everytime you change the oil. You can get a reusable filter, but it still has to be cleaned everytime you change the oil. it is probably clogged up not letting oil flow through it after that long.

Nope your good to go. Only need to change your filter every 3,000 miles just like your car!

if your plugged up oil filter is restricting your rpms IT"S TO LATE!! save the oil filter for after you rebuild...;)

That is unreal. I am very particular about service. Mine gets the oil changed often and the filter is changed everytime. I check everything out about once per month just to make sure it is in tip top shape. Brakes are another thing that are overlooked.
