Southern Link Question???

Is there a deal with Southern Link where you can just get the walkie-talkie I was just wondering because I found one of my dads phone in his office it was a motarola it was pretty nice but the company bought verizon wireless Blackberry's for them I just want a plan with them where you can just use the walkie talkie

just wondering because he is not using it and some of my friends have links

how much does it cost to activate the phone and how much does the plan cost and can it be ussed with southern links
