my quadracer is in the for sale forum. at $1400, it's a little over your budget but motor work has already been done, chassis is pretty solid also. be careful when looking for project bikes. i paid $1300 for the 'racer then had to put another $650+ into it so i can sell it for $1400. and it ran good when i test rode it before purchasing. parts add up fast and they'll nickel and dime you to death.
