I run a b8es and it works great for me

BR8ES

R disignates resistor and will increase voltage at the plug with a slight amperage loss. This is what the factory generally calls for.

you only need the R plug if you're running lights

Lights have nothing to do with it. The stator has completely different windings and the lights are regulated to 12-14 volts, whereas the cdi box (ignition system) is hit with 50-60 volts unregulated.
It comes down to whether you prefer more voltage or more amperage. 6 one way, and a half dozen the other way. Measured energy at the plug will be the same.

I go w/ factory plug it calls for. Im NOT sold on these newer plugs at all, its a marketing thing!

the "R" is for the ignition, and helps w/ frequency bleedover also (tv's , stereo's, basically static)

The way I see it, its system is made for resistor plugs, so I run them mostly, w/ the exception from time to time

If tvs and stereos were the concern of running a non-resistor plug, then the factory would not use a solid core plug wire.
Sheilded or graphite core plug wires are what reduces radio interference.

I meant more of a form of example, what it does to his motors electrical system, not TVI:D
