View Full Version : Raptor shock reservoir?

Just busted the reservoir on my Raptor rear shock.The wire ties snapped and the chain got it before i knew it.Is it possible to replace only the reservoir on this shock? I just checked a few websites for a reservoir,but it seems that i would have to buy the entire shock....over 600.00.

you could check ebay or look for some shocks that are broken and cant be reusaed but the rezzy is still good maybe

just call up a shock rebuilder and see what they say. I think you can get another one put on. For example, you can get a elka ressy or a PEP ressy, ect

Look around on ebay, if you find a ressivoir. I can be done for cheap. I remember seeing ressiviors of superbike shocks on ebay for 20 or 30 bucks. The line sould not cost to much. I also see a lot of disassembled 250r rear shocks on ebay also.

Remember, even if you replace it, you will have to have it refilled with high pressure nitrogen.

speaking of rezzies, can someone measure the length of the raptor rear shock rezzie line. then the length of the rezzie itself?? i need to know where to mount my peps.

I'm guessing 6-8 inches for the whole thing. I just put mine on yesterday, if I would have been on here then I would have measured. I already put it on though.

I have a new 660 shock that was taken off a 2004 raptor to put elka shock. Do you think that would work? Let me know and I will sell it to you if you would like to replace yours with it.

is it only the 01 raptor rear shock that fits the 300ex or is there other year models that fit too?
