New member with some 400ex ?'s

I just picked up a 01 400ex bored to a 426 with a hotcam, pro flow filter and intake, twist throttle, rear itp beadlocks, full skids, and some other little stuff. The question I have is its really hard to start, especially when its cold out (like upper 30's). Could it be due to the cam? There is no airbox lid if that makes a difference.

what rev box (CDI) are you running? maybe bump up the pilot...

I believe its stock. If I bumped up the pilot would it throw off the jetting?

pilot jet is responsible for idle to 1/4 throttle.....

I picked it up in KC. I havent even road it since I bought it a month ago lol. I just assumed the jetting is right. I'm going to pull the plug soon and check it out.

The shocks are stock. All I have left to do is get a metal airbox (with lid) and maybe a new subframe when I get tired of looking at the grab bar thats welded on.

Good looking quad man!!!! Are you looking to hit any races this upcoming year??? If you want to run GNCCs there are a few guys in my area that go. We are located about 60 miles east of STL. on Interstate 64.

I bought the quad for my gf to ride. I have a CR250 that I ride. I'm allot faster on 2 wheels then 4 :devil:
