i just put a HMF sport series slip on exhaust on my 1999 yamaha warrior and after i REJETTED the carb it seems to be fighting for air once you get above mid gear in all gears. i have taken off my air box lid and that has seemed to work a little does anyone know what else i should do?

did you rejet? if not, it could be fighting for fuel.

what did you change in the carb? if it runs fine with the lid off then you went too big on the jetting (too rich)

i had the same problem the first time i jetted my 400ex. i read the directions, and i thought i did everything, but when i looked at my carburator, i figured out that i did not actually put a new jet in after i took the stock one out. i hate saying that because it makes me sound so stupid, but it happened, and if that is what happened to you, then i dont feel so bad. the problems i had were in the mid to high end power, i would get into pretty much any gear and get on it a little, and i would just not go but it did not die. just check it.
