Question...

I didnt know where to post this so i guess ill just post it here. I was just thinkin, and i was wonderin if it would wear your battery down if you left the key on but just hit the killswitch to turn off your quad? I mean, if its in gear, and the nuetral lights off, i dont see how it would...but its just annoying when you have to shut it off alot when your puttin around the track talkin to people or doin stuff, and you have to fool with turnin the key on and off every time.

yeah you can do that.

on my old 400ex i cut the key out and just tied the wires together and just used the killswitch. I did it for a year and didnt have any problems

i want to keep my key functioning so if i walk away from it for a few mins, someone cant hop on and take off...im talkin about just flippin the kill switch to shut it off, instead of turnin the key, and leaving the key in the on position, until im ready to go again and i can just flip the kill switch back and start it up.
Ive been doin it some, im just makin sure the battery will hold up

yeah it will work.....

mine was the same situation just that i had cut the key out and tied the wires tricking it to thinking the key was on the whole time.

You will be fine doing that. I left the key on my old 300ex on over night sometimes, and the batery never went dead.

Very easy, but we don't always remember to do it. Also if there is no light on to draw energy from the batery then there is no problem with leaving the key on.
