You must be mistaken. I think all you saw was some Silver Side Pannals from maier that are very shiny. If i am wrong somone correct me but that all i can think of

It was probaly just a chrome sticker. Just like people are covering their pieces with that "wanna-be" carbon fiber. Go to a parts store. It is chrome rocker panel stickers. It is pretty heavy duty too. I think it would look retarded, but thats just my opinion. Hope this helps in your quest to chrome out your plastic.

It looks weird because that bike has no rear plastic, and when they do have the rears they are cut so they dont flex...2grand a set for that plastic...

looks like you can chrome plastic. I found some websites that do chrome plastic but they only do big orders, no custom stuff like small 400ex plastic. I want some like the banshee above

I have seen an ad in Dirt Wheels of a company that will chrome your plastic. It seems like it was the issue a few months back that had the article on the Indianapolis ATV dealer show in it.

I saw a motorcycle on the cover of Dirt Bike magazine that had "chromed" plastics and they were done in red!!! It loked sweet. They had sent them to a place called VMC (Vacuumized Metal Coatings) I believe. They said the process involced heating the plastics to a certian temp in a vacuum and impregnating them with a metallic substance in these colors, standard chrome, red, black, blue, yellow, green and I believe orange. They said it is quite durable and was used on the air scoops on the Team Splitfire Kawasaki race bikes. It was recommended the plastics be new and the process was like $250 to $300 for a motorcycle. I can only imagine what it would be for a quad. Sorry, I don't have a website but I hope this helps.
