I had just started riding sunday, down the same road i always ride on. I was goin to fast and couldnt make the turn. I tried to ride it threw the ditch but my right front wheel snagged a pine tree.

check out how it stretched the bolt hole http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid197/p7f14e4b09ba05426db87ffd2bc734d00/f110f53b.jpg

That sucks! I stopped riding in the snow for this year because my tires are bald as anything and I had too many close calls. You really did a number on that front end!

I hope you are alright!

It ripped the upper ball joint right out of the a-arm http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid197/p7cd2a79bee5877487be93d8d7d5b8c11/f110ec5a.jpg

I'd go back to that tree and pee all over it.....then cut it down. I wouldnt be to happy if that happened to me.

Funny thing would be if it wasn't that big of a tree. But, I agree with him..Go pee all over. Teach it who's boss. And get the last laugh.

if you look where the shadow is, you can see where it ripped the bolt right threw the frame http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid197/p7bc309f88ab57255a4a1c22779cc075c/f110e810.jpg

I've seen some people rip that part out before. What they usually do it just take a couple washers and have them welded and gusseted on and they havent had any problems since. What about those Elkas, is it gonna e very expensive to replace the mounts?

It also snapped my steering stem into at the bar clamps. my camera's battery went down before i could get a pic of that.

after it happend i couldnt beleive i didnt get hurt. I dont even have a scratch on me, im just a little sore.

I loosely figured it up last night and i think its gonna be about $1,000 to fix it

my buddy did pretty much teh same thing on a road sign with his 400. it was a slghtly more expensive fix though since he had a gibson LT fron end. He had to buy a frame and was able to get just one A-arm. His shock is very slightly tweaked, but he is still racing on it with no problems yet.
