I'm thinking about adding a set of nerf bars to my 400ex. I've been looking for a standard set. Who makes the best ones? Are there any I need to stay away from? I've looked at DG's, AC Racing, Tusk and a few others. What are you guys running?

Yeah, I've looked at the Tusk. Are they made of steel or aluminum?

I wouldn't bother with the Tusks, seems like their products are somewhat cheap in quality. Just another Rocky Mountain value item along with A.R.C. and Torq.

I've had AC standard nerfs for the past 4 years and they have been awesome! These things have been to hell and back and are still just as good as the day I bought them. I paid $120 for them from Chaparral. I went with the standards instead of the pro-pegs because the pegs on the pro-pegs are made of soft aluminum and will wear down over time. I also recently added 450R footpegs, which are almost twice as wide as 400EX pegs and im loving it even more (not in the pictures). I am also in the process of fabricating some super sharp peg extenders as well, it's going to be the ultimate setup (just as wide and sharp as IMS pegs but for only $30 total).
