I am looking into buying my son a nice TV for his room, he has been bugging me for one for quit some time.

I think between a 21" - 30" TV would be the appropriate size for his room.

What are some good brands?? or some good model TV's in that size range?

They are good, but not the best. Besides, he's not looking for a 42"+ TV.

Matt,

To honestly answer your question, you need to provide more info. What is your price range? Are there size considerations other than just the screen? What kind of resolution do you want to display? Standard 480i....Digital 480P.... or true HD?

If price is not really an object and HD is needed, I would suggest looking at CRT based TV's - cheap - (Toshiba) or LCD panels -expensive - (Sony Bravia). Either way LCD or CRT is the only technology in the 21"-30" range.

I have had GREAT luck with Samsung TVs... I came across this deal at Circuit City for a 27" CRT Samsung with a built-in HD tuner for $540.

I've seen this TV in person, and for the picture quality you get, it's a steal! :)

LMFAO... that is pure BS. Plasma's last ALOT longer than most TV's (if I remember right they are rated well above 30,000 hours). The VERY first version had some issues, but that was 8-10 years ago. Yes, they could burn in, just as CRT's. Keep them adjusted properly and you wont have a problem.

Besides, plasma's are NOT in this size range (30" and under)...I'm not even sure why you mentioned them.

Please do NOT post information if you do not know what your talking about.
