Awesome, will you be installing the gusset kits, or will those be installed by burgard?

Also, when should I send the money for the services you are doing? Thanks!

Pappy
12-16-2005, 08:02 PM
i let burgard handle most of my gusset work. i love to weld, but just dont have the time to do it and coat them also:p

your free to send payment at anytime.

Those look awesome Pappy. The black doesn't look very metallic in the picture, but it must just be the lighting in there. I can't wait to get the parts back. I will send you my brothers VIN later on, just to be safe so you can have the VIN as you wanted. Thanks again! Are you going to send out the small parts tomorrow? Thanks!

Pappy
01-05-2006, 06:55 PM
oh no , its no prob at all.

i know im cutting one fellow so close its scary. i have to do his swinger first thing in the morning, then drive it to him so he can reassemble his rear end and break the engine in on saturday, and hit the first district race on sunday!

i keep telling myself that in a few more weeks, i will be able to cut the time in half:p then by spring i hope to be able to turn a frame in just a few days!

Pappy

Pappy
01-06-2006, 08:29 PM
just a suggestion, and i dont know what fender color you are running, but a chrome sub will make that color scream. i can pc chroem and iot looks killer, red or black fenders, it would look killer.

let me know, just an idea.

bpimpdaddy21
01-06-2006, 08:32 PM
I am going to be running white fenders, so I think the red would still look the best with the white fenders. What do you think?

Pappy
01-06-2006, 08:47 PM
nope, all red with white would loo best!

white agianst this red should be insane!

there were a few tense moments as everyone in the shop waited to see how the red frame would turn out. once they all got tired of waiting i peeked and knew it was gonna be fine.

01-07-2006, 07:55 PM
That is great to hear Pappy, if it looks as good in the light as it does in the pics and as you say it does, I should be grinning from ear to ear. Maybe this frame deserves to have its own thread started, hahahah! Thanks again! Great work!

BTW, I was thinking of sending my swingarm down to you to have you do it Stealth Black. How much would that run and what would be the turnaround time on it. Thanks!

Pappy
01-07-2006, 08:28 PM
$55 and i will handle the return shipping.

it should only take a day or so if its stock.

I only had one problem with the clutch cover. I had to remove some of the PC off of the contact surface where it mates to the case, but that is probably a given.

Will I have to do this to the swingarm after also, remove the PC from the carrier race, etc? Thanks!

Pappy
01-09-2006, 11:20 AM
i try to make things need no additional work once you recieve it, however when trans or double coat powders are used, there is a limit to what i can control.

as far as the swing arm, any powder that does find its way into the carrier area will pose no problems. some manufactures do not even bother to block off that area, but we do.

the clutch cover can be fully coated as the powder will not harm anything. some folks prefer a bare metal finish where the gasket goes, some do not mind. we have run them both ways without any issues.

on some car engine parts, we are even asked to coat the inside of valve covers and the bottom of intakes to make oil shed faster. I dont like doing the intakes, but as long as i dont see it causing harm ill do what ever a customer likes. i reckon thast a throw back to the days when the hot rod guys used to paint thier lifter valleys also:p

bpimpdaddy21
01-09-2006, 12:00 PM
OK, cool. The reason I had asked is with my cover I had to grind down the mating surface, as I had a slight leak on the bottom when I put the fluid in. All good now though.

Did you get my PM? I was just wondering if the frames went out today and if you had a tracking number for them. Thanks again.

The swingarm and mounts should go out tomorrow, and I'll send you payment once they get there.

Pappy
