How do I make my engine look polished like this?? like a die grinder?? what head should I use on the diegrinder and how do I do it? Also whats the estimated amount of time doin doth sides and clutch cover? the owner k_fulk gave me some tips but I want some more.

My favorite way to polish is to sand down with sand paper probably start with 220 for the cases and work up to 2000 grit or 1500 if you cant find it. I work with each grit until it shines for each, after that i get a clean cloth and a tub of Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish and wipe it on and keep wiping til it turns a black haze. Then i get a clean cloth (preferably cotton) and wipe it off. You wont believe how much brighter it gets!

Is there a way or tool quicker than sandpaper?? I can sand after I get the paint off but I hate having to sand that paint off. paint stripper work?

I talked to an old trucker tonight and he told me that after sanding and before polishing to wipe whatever you are polishing down with muratic acid. He said it opens the pores in the metal and makes it shine better. Anyone familiar with body work should know what muratic acid is.:cool:
