Thank you for looking.

I bought a set of 05 yfz450 front shocks to install on a 300ex. I figured if I could put a 400ex set on, why not the yfz450 shocks of the same size. They seem to be more adjustable than the 400ex.

The problem is I have no idea how to adjust them and what all the adjustments do. I do not plan to race (as I am older) we just trail ride as a family and I wanted better shocks up front. I will be using a Diamond J bolt on mount relocator and everything else stock. The shock mount is raised up high enough to put the shocks on, i just don't know how to set them up. The cost of replacing the front end is out of the question as there are to many medical bills to pay.

I would appreciate any directions that came in the quads original manuals and any tips on setting them up would be helpful.

You are a beautiful person, thank you very much for the posts.

How do you like the shocks and do you think they will ride ok on the 300ex?

Can someone tell me the standard length of the rear shock spring?

I bought my 06' used and have no manual. I plan to get the CD version.

I dont think the yfz shock will be very good on a 300ex. The yfz shocks are very stiff. Hopefully Im wrong and it works out for you.
