will its been about 3 months since i broke my wrist at earlywines. and now the broken part is healed, but i stretched or maybe torn my tendonds (sp) and ligaments. they dont hurt to bad but do hurt when i try to lift weights or shoot a basketball. so my question is whats the fastest way to help these things heal up, i stretch it through out the day. but that only helps so much. and i would like to race again around january 27-29. so any help would be much apprecated. thanks

Now that's its healed, assuming you have permission from the Dr. to rehab it YOU MUST WORK IT. Move it, exercise it as much possible. One thing to do: Do the ABCs with your wrist, meaning draw out each letter of the alphabet with you wrist movements. Don't left heavy weights, but get a exercies rubber band or rubber cord and use this to provide resistance. It take a while to get it back. It'll never be the same if you broke it bad... but the best thing to do is move it and use it even if it's sore.... It you don't rehab is properly it'll stay weak and stiff FOREVER!!

the only way to really heal tendons is rest and to try to take strain off of it.

I tore a tendon in my lower arm 3 months ago. I can't bend the second joint in my left thumb and it really affects my gripping abilities. My doctor said the only way to get it to heal is to rest it and avoid putting any stress on it.

I hate things that take time to fix, but i guess thats just part of life.

when i broke my wrists i soaked them in epson salts (sp) you add to to hot/warm water let you wrist soak in it for a while and stretch it and keep repeating the process a couple time a day.
