what length Lt travel shock do you need to run both roll a arms and jrd a arms.

19-20 will be fine on any LT a-arm

You should call them both and ask. It does matter what length per the designer. You can not have that big of range as the previous post mentionend. Bieng a 1/4 of an inch difference is ok but 1 inch is way to much.

I put my 19 3/4 elkas on my ARS-FX a-arms and they were alright and i think they were suppose to have 20 1/2 in shocks

When building arms you take several things into consideration when placing the shock mount but two of the more important things are, ride hieght and where the bumpsteer is at. First of all is that you don't want the frame to slam the ground so you take that into consideration. Second is that what ever bumpsteer was designed into the quad will always be there so what you want to do is place the amount of bumpsteer that already is there into the proper place when cycling the suspension. If you run a shorter or longer shock then the arm is built for you will change both of these settings. Maybe yours worked out fine but that large of a paramiter is not recomended. As far as you know the shocks that you put on might be the length that the arms require since you weren't sure if 20.5 inchs was correct or not.
