I don't know if it's the best carb, but most people that are changing carbs are putting a FCR carb from the dirtbikes on. You can get them from Service Honda.

well if you get an aftermarket carb for your 06 let me know and i will take your stock one off your hands! Usually the Keihin carb company has some decent aftermarket setups though. Check Edelbrock and Sparks out too.

many people just swap out for the dirtbike carb. I cant remember but their was a certain year that most people got also. (price was lower i believe?)
Anyhow I had the sudco 41mm fcr which was a hair larger than the dirtbike carbs. I loved it but the throttle stiffness was a bit much for 2 hour xc races. I'd still like to get another one in the future and have the spring worked on.
