Junk it and get trail tech lighting, And the way you get it off is unbolt it and watch carefully where everything goes and put it bad together

my dad refused to let me take it off. Then when he wasnt looking, i took it off. All it is, is a big plug that plugs into the light bulb and the neutral and reverse lights, and the two bolts on the handle bars. Just drill a 1/2" (or what ever size the neutral lights) hole in the front side of your plastic so that you can still have your indicators. Do the same for your key but with a bigger drill bit. You will like the way your quad looks 100 times better after you take that stupid light off.

It makes it a ton better. I think when honda made the 300ex when they got done.....they just started beating it with an ugly stick. I sware it is one of the ugliest ones out there stock. But you can make it look pretty cool.

after rolling my 300 over backward i crushed my bars and headlight so i needed to fix it. i took all the old headlight junk off, taped my N and R indicators on my bars for now, welded on a new mount and made a trip to wal-mart. i spent 20 bucks on my pair of lights wired them up to my switch and that was it. they work great and dont draw any power than the stock light did. here is a pic....

When I took the headlight off my old 300ex, I just said the hell with the neutral, and reverse lights, I don't need them I know when it's in neutral and reverse. I unpluged the 2 wires that come from the wireing harness and hook to the light, then just pluged them into each other. Also since there was no lights hooked up at all, if I left the key on by mistake, then I wouldn't have to worry about the batery going dead.
