That's exactly what I said. Good news is a new stem from ServiceHonda.com is only $45. That's cheaper than a new set of bars are going to run you. Can't beat that! :D

I got a +1 houser right from them. Then I got some Tag T2 CR double high bars. This puts it at stock height because the stem is and inch higher and the bars are an inch lower. CR double high is a dirt bike bend so it is actually lower than ATV bends.

Alright, here's a pic of my setup to give you an idea. New stock stem, universal adapter clamps (adds 3/4" of height), and Fly Aero Tapered Mini High bend bars. They are pretty much the same height as the CR Double Highs that 400exstud mentioned but are not as long from end to end. These two bends seem to be very popular with the freestyle guys because of the added height and less sweep (like stock or ATV bars). Less sweep makes for a straighter, more controllable handlebar.

This setup is pretty comfortable both standing up and sitting down. When you sit on the quad, your arms go straight out front to the bars, parallel to the ground. It is nice because you aren't all hunched over the bars when standing up. A +1 stem or a set of Rox Risers would make a nice addition to your setup.

well if you were smart you would take it to a local machine shop and have them straighten it for you. you never would kno it was bent, and its CHEAPER then a new stem itself

Check out the specs on Renthal 400ex bend. One of the great things about Rocky Mountain catalog is they list the bends on all the bars.

Anyhow, the Renthal 400ex is about as high as you can get.

My renthal 250R bends are a good bit taller than my 400ex bars.

Then you want to go with those Mini Highs or Double Highs. Wish I was at home now, I'd let you come by and try them for yourself, they're very comfy! :D

You don't want to get 400EX bends, trust me. Yes, they are tall, BUT have waaay too much sweep for any serious rider. Everyone gets used to that bend because the 400 comes stock with it obviously, but you don't know how you're handicapping yourself with them until you switch to a better bend ;) 400EX bends are for riders who sit down a lot, hence the added sweep. Swept back bars aren't so comfortable when standing up, it makes your hands in this position: / \ when they should be in this position: __ __ it's sort of hard to explain.

Renthal 400EX bend handlebars were my first aftermarket bars I had on my 400. As I grew as a rider, I found that this bend is more suited to the "weekend warrior" amateur rider than a more aggressive one. I then switched to Tag SX bends which I liked, but they weren't tall enough and my back was always hurting from being hunched over. Finally, I switched to these Mini Highs and i'm lovin' em. Where you from BTW, that would be cool to do a ride sometime :)

I would agree. I've switched to Flexxbars ATV bend with 12 degree sweep.

if your bike vibraties with the new handlebars you might need a new steering stem i replaced mine because of a roll over. Low clearance Fly Racing handlebars look sweet.
