IMS Gas Tank

I am considering getting a 3.8 gallon IMS gas tank. Can anyone tell me how difficult they are to install and what do you have to do about the stock plastic that surrounds the stock tank?

Hey, i live in cross lanes,West Virginia, not too far from you. IMS tanks should'nt be that hard to install. Just take the stocker off,the petcock off and put it on the IMS tank, and i dont think you can run stock shrouds on it though. Gimme a PM if ya wanna ride or hook up and work on it.

Stock shrouds DO work with the IMS, they do not with the Acerbis or GYTR (same tank). They include new shrouds with theirs.

It only takes a couple minutes to install. Stock shrouds work, you dont need to use the tank cover though. Just remove stock tank, switch over petcock and install new IMS. Very easy.
