View Full Version : Possibly Clutch cable problem

I was riding last night and popped my clutch in the snow.. after i did this my clutch lever felt looser and i had to pull it in farther to shift,ect.. Im thinking its just the cable.. any suggestions??

sounds like it to me, those things arent that durable. Mine went out after about 6 months of owning it. I took the cable off and it was actually freying and coming apart.

Yeah I had a problem with my cable just a few days ago. I couldnt squeeze my clutch lever in. Just replaced the cable for $15 from the dealer and its like brand new now.
mine breaks once a month:eek2:

Check your cable tensioner on the right side of the engine you might just need to tighten it. if thast doesn't work you can buy one for about 15 bucks
well when my cable is going to brake it all of a sudden feals rilly loose and then a sec later its broke.
mine seems to break always going down the road shifting fast.
