I was just wondering if there were any companies that make motor mounts or anything that you would need to put a 450 motor into a 400ex... anyone done this or any advice? how much it would cost..custom mounts...etc...

JB Racing does and its cheaper also. I believe Jody told me $425 to convert your frame, and $75 for your swing arm. So about $525 for all. ATV 4 Play charges like $600. JB Racing sells mounting brackets and spacers as a kit for $85 which you will need, and will still be cheaper than ATV 4 Play $600+$85, nothing against ATV 4 Play but if your on a smaller budget I'd go with JB. But JB does excellent work also. Neither of these companies include powdercoating in the cost either thats extra unfortunately.

I'm also interested in doin this for MX racing and was wondering what everything you have to buy and do to it was the engines that i have found usually come with just the engine no carb, elec., kick starter uaually, and shifter. what all do i have to do to do this right.

You do know that the stock frame isn't going to accept that engine with just different motor mounts? The frame will have to be modified a bit to accept it.

yeah I know that I would think it would be safer to just by the frame from walsh it does take some $$$ but it might be better than screwing up the 400ex frame
