is my cam messed up?

my 400ex has to have one of the exhaust valves adjusted really loose or it wont run, it will just spi through th exhaust if it is adjusted right. all the other three are adjusted right and it will run with the one loose. do you guys think i have a messed up lobe on my cam?

well as i have no experience with the 400ex i have allot of experience with my 330 and i believe one of ur lobes r ***** up.

What is the measurement you have to set it at to be loose?

if its not seating when adjusted properly then it shouldnt seat when its loose either

just a thought but maybe there set too tight and not allowing the valves to close completely

i ahev it adjusted to liek 14 thousands. it wont do anything when its 5 thousandths. i know how loose it is b/c its rattling pretty bad

hhhm.......sure its not a stretched timing chain? or a connecting rod bearing going bad making the rattling? bent valve? give us more info. ....when does it rattle? what happens when you set them correctly?

What do you mean by anything?? what doesnt it do? I;m thinking your refering to the valve correct?
