Going to pick up a 06 honda 450er tomorrow. I am paying $6350 out the door. and buying the hrc kit for $275. Do you guys think this a a good deal or just avg. (this was the cheapest around). If I want I can buy a 4 year warranty for $500 should I get the warranty or not. It will be raced in motox. Just want your guys think? Let me know

dont get the warranty. your deal is maybe a little better then average so its definately a good deal. You'll love the HRC kit

yeah, you got a deal better than average. so be happy, and no dont get the ext. warranty because if you are racing mx then you will most likely void the warranty anyways

Thats not much more than I am paying...and I am a sponsered rider. the HRC Kit is about 10% over cost...all over, its good deal.

I guess I would have to say it is an OK deal...living where we do our local dealer has really great deals.

$5800 OTD

I have not priced the HRC kit there...

I have no personal experience with the 06's but I have read the Hot Cams stage II is a much better cam and produces more tq and hp everywhere in the RPM range and if you plan to get a new exhaust I would think you are wasting your money on the HRC kit.

Rossier has shown his pipe, UNI filter, and HC II to gain 14 HP.

The Benifits of the Hrc Kit are good depending on the kind of riding that you do. You will not find a better jet kit. As far as the cam goes the HRC is better for MX than XC it has better pull in mid to upper rpm range (Like the Stage 2 Hot Cam) The Stage 1 Hot cam will give you better bottom and mid power.

IMO I will be using the cam jet kit and not much else...

$5,999 for a 2006 and they list the MSRP wrong.

I paid $6,045 for my new 2006 450er at Skip's in Keyser, WV.

Well I am looking to buy at the end of Feb. and am trying to find the cheapest place around. So far the cheapest has been Chicago Cycle at $6,200 OTD. Max Pitts was around $6,350 OTD. I was really looking to get it for $6,000 OTD, but the prices seem to be a bit higher around here.

Low prices at Abernathy's in Union City, TN.
go to there website and call them on prices.
the only bad thing about buying far away from home is if anything happens(warranty work) within the 6 month warranty, it'll be a long drive again. Just my 2 cents
On the extended warranty, you can take it to any Honda dealership. Not sure yet if I'm getting the extended warranty.

Paid $5795 for mine. That's not including taxes since I bought it out of state. That bill is coming later. :o

The dealership is Lake Hills in Corinth, MS.

I think this is the phone number: 662-287-4451

I have looked at that Southern Honda, and they are the cheapest I have seen, but it's 10 hours 1 way there, so that's not worth it. You are right about warranty work as well. I would like to stay local. I won't get the extended warranty since it's going to be setup for XC/raced.

Dave400ex- try Dryer Honda in Indy. Good people. If they cant beat Chicago Cycle Center, no one will in Indiana. It is really hard to beat CCC.
