Do you have to have an extended steering stem to run a oversize tank?

It gets used for everything from ice racing to sand drags and hillclimbs to 1/8 mile drag strips and everthing else. I have Trail tires, Mx tires, Flat track, Ice and paddle tires. Sometimes I'm to lazy to switch the whole set over when I go riding.

Be careful what stem you get with the IMS tank, the guy I bought mine from sold it because it didn't work with his +1 stem. It works with stock length and +2.

IMHO the clark 4 gallon tanks are the best by far ive heard of the IMS leaking and not fitting that well. Even when i first saw the clark tanks i thought they were nasty looking but ive seen them right next to the IMS tanks and fit and finish is way better. they look like OEM just oversized. they even match the OFF red honda has

the clark tank works with any length stem.
