Almost EVERY time I type my user name somewhere, I get one of these ! in my name and have to retype it :confused:

Its been doing this the last couple of days...
And I dont want the answer" Its a virus" lol if It IS a virus can I get some helpful info on what kind so I cn correct it

download spybot and adaware and do the scans weekly along with updating

I have Microsoft spyware already ALso Adaware but I usually use the Microsoft one

I scan weekly or after I do alot of downloads ;)

are you on a desktop or laptop?

sounds to me like a bad keyboard... is it every where or only on websites?

It means youre going to hit the lottery big tonight!:blah:

I dont think its a virus Tina, sounds like a keyboard prob or your name got typed in wrong and windows is remembering it.. You will have to clear your name/ passwords in windows autocomplete and start over.

I think someone hit the nail right on the head. The Q is right next to the ! button:cool: Type slower.

Im not sure where all its happeneing YET... But , I DO KNOW its ALWAYS HERE! I always type in my password, then log out each time I leave. I even checked to make sure it wasnt me(we all know how I type! :o :p ) and it happens when I tpye in my password, it makes the ! in my user name .... does that makes any sense?? :confused:

Yes I do.

I also use Mcafee and spyware .. You think that is where my problem is ?

Does anyone have a pop-up blocker programs...and a virus program that u can download for free?

one of the best popup blockers are built into the google toolbar. i do sugest you run microsoft antispyware. it will help with a lot of pop ups. as for virus protection.. one of the best out there is AVG keep it updasted and you will never have an issue.

and as for QJ's problem... if you have a new keyboard change it out and see if it helps. other then that. you need to just try to type it into a word doc that way we can detrmine if it is only on the site or all over the computer.

Good idea, Ill write few things in a Doc. and see how that pans out ;)

Well. Im most certain its my Keyboard, I havent had time to plug in my other one but it didnt do it while typing a Doc. It does still do it here an othe places I also notice my "1" key pops up sometimes as well so I think its just the keyboard. Ill let ya know if it fixed the problem ;)

I spilled a little bit of beer on the keyboard of my laptop one time... keys got all screwy for about a day... then it kinda went away :confused: ... maybe you dropped a little something and didn't notice...
