i race harescrambles and i only got 2 races out of an ebc kit,went back to stock and i have not had a problem since.it faded out somthing awful when it got hot.it may be good for sand,ive never ridden that,but it looks like a blast!

yeah it is... but sand is also hard on clutches because it's harder to get going since sand is heavy and your paddle tires have to paddle through it.

Go with stock plates

EBC is a good clutch, most people I've seen say that EBC didn't last long is because they didn't install it correctly, i.e. letting the clutch plates soak before putting it in, and then mis-adjusted clutch cables. The EBC's seem to be really picky about being soaked where as I've seen OEM dropped in with no soaking and no problems.

I ran a tusk kit in my 400 all winter and all race season. I will say that it is still holdin up very well with no slip at all. However, it seems to stick a little before its warm. When I first start it up, it will drive forward a little bit before fully disengaging. It only does this for the first 2 minutes of run time, after that it is fine, which leads me to believe it is in fact the clutch fibers and plates sticking and not the worn basket. Other than that its still holding up, but if I had to do it again, it would be at least an EBC, if not the top 3 would be OEM, Hinson, or Barnett!
