I Cut My 250ex Fenders!!

No kiddin dude. Id like to cut mine b/c I think id look pretty cool and all but its just a 250 and i know id take flak for it so screw it til i crack em. Then they get cut. :D

Ill be watchin for those pics, been wantin to see one with em cut.

Hey everyone...I did mine today too!! I have a 2002 300ex.I still have to sand it and round out the edges better tomorrow.I think my husband was nervous having me doing my own(not very tool inclined):),I went and bought me a Drehmel and started carving away!! My daughter wants me to do her 90cc Kasea next.It was pretty easy to do. Now. all I need is some cool graphics:)I think everyone in the nieghborhood thinks im insane(none of them ride quads,whos insane?)I would love to see your pic when you get a chance to post it. :) :)

they arent on my quad yet (still got to figure out a way to put the mounting plastic on) but here is a pic of what they look like! i know the one side still isnt strait i still gotta fix it:)

I didnt take mine off, I did mine still on the quad,ill send a pic of mine when its done too(if i can figure out how to post a pic,never done before):) The only problem is trying to get the edges to round out nicely,not sure how to fix, other than a torch, and im not EVEN going that direction....I measured about every 2 inches to match up the measurements,and they now look identical.cant wait to see it when your done!!! :)

I have 2 sets of fenders for my 300, one race cut, one full, I like the race cuts, I took the whole fender off tho, nothing sticks out

kc can u post a pic of the race cut i wanna see that! i bet it looks pretty sweet.

I strongly agree. I would cut them back farther to the line phat marked. Then youll be set. Be sure to get a pic of em when you get it back on the ex. :cool:

I brought my cut in a lot closer too on mine, but not as close to the nose of it as he marked,I would round out the bottoms too, they are goona be pretty sharp,but Im sure you had planned on that anyhow..

now heres good quality race cut plastics!

I tried using a buffer on the drehmel today, and it works great on smoothing out the rough edges,not as evasive..

im not trying to be anoying but unless your just experimenting with an old pair of fenders, i dont think anyone should race cut them unless they ONLY race and never ride in the mud or trails. im not sure if you race or not. i love how it looks though!

hey 250exen, there is a down side to cutting your plastic. if you ever go through any mud your going to be caked in mud! i love that look too, but i go through a lot of mud and stuff and i get mudding engouh as they are now. if you going to stay dry, then that's awesuem!

someone on here has a pic of there 250 with cut plastics, i've seen it before.

I took mine muddin for the first time a few weks. ago, and it really wasnt that bad :) I have been hit in the helmet a few times when riding o nthe road,he,he, but Im sure I would have stayed alot cleaner if I had the full fronts .

i cut mine, and they look just like the one on the rides section, but i wanna cut more, just too afraid to ruin them
