to buy or not to buy that is the question

which bike is better and which one is cheaper to trick out and make really fast in january i will be either buying a new 06 yfz450 or a new 06 450r which would you buy price dont matter quality does

really that is all up to your preference.I,ve always bought hondas because Im in love with their reliability and ease of maintenance. And those Hondas always have a trick up their sleeves. /when you start getting into a honda with mods they really wake up. The 06 is really strong from the factory though .I dont know if many people have really gotten into the motor with porting etc,

i have always been a honda guy but i have owned a bunch of different bikes i have had yamahas and lots of suzukis even had a kx500 for about a year but i want a bike that i can trail ride with alot and jump alot and as far as mods go i have about 5,000 set aside for mods and up grades after buying the bike

I bought a used 2004 YFZ 450 last year, and the only "reliabilty issue" i've had is a water pump seal went bad. Very easy and inexpensive to fix.

From all you read on these websites about the poor reliability of Yamaha, I expected to have all kinds of problems. In my opinion the problems with the YFZ's are blown out of proportion.

You can't go wrong with either quad.

450R no qeustion with the new electric start on the 450r there is no doubt in my mind you will love the power and it will be reliable! TRUST THE HONDA MAN!

The Yamaha was updated as well... They are both great bikes. Go sit on both and see what is more comfortable to you. I think the Honda is more comfortable so I bought one!!
