i want to get both of my ears periced and the middle of my lip done
how bad does it hurt for the ears and the lip

i havent got my lip but ears dont hurt. unless you wanna pierce your ear with a hole punchr your gonna have to get your ears pierced with a little bit smaller ear ring then gauge it up to that size.

because when you wear skin tight girl jeans at school, you cant put a pencil in your pocket cuz its so tight, so you can just stick it through your ear to carry it around;)

but to answer your question. to quage your ears, you need to get it peirced normal sized first, wiat a month or w/e and then keep putting a bigger qauge ear in it. i never done it before, but i bet it hurts

my friend is guaging her ears and she just puts in a bigger size stud after every two weeks or so. it probably wont feal to good but it will work. oh and about the girl pants thing, most of my friends do that. one reason is because we all bike... and girl pants dont get cought in the chain. and another is just to bug people like you:p

Just a question, but how does a ring in your ear or hole in your lip affect a person's personality and work ethic. I have one piercing in my ear, and dress normal IMO (jeans, sweatshirts, button-ups, dc shoes, doc marten's). I held a steady job all through highschool and graduated in the top 25% of a class of about 180. I'm now in college with a gpa of 3.6. Yet I'm sure if I went in for an interview for a position I'd be turned away for the hole in my ear right? They wouldn't care about my past, which is pretty clean...

If the kid wants to pierce himself, let him. Do you not have anything better to worry yourself with?

there is a large difference from having a piercing that you put small stud in and having a 1/2" hole in the bottom of your ear.. I have no issues with a small stud. if it is required to be removed you can and no one will know that it existed. putting a large hole in the ear just has that look to me to be un professinal. just the thought of walking into the corporate meeting with a 3 piece suite and a pencil hanging out your ear would give me the impression that he does not respect his position enough to be presentable to sell my product.

Yea, I guess I agree. I personally can't stand a huge @$$ hole i can look through in someone's ear, although I'm ok with a lip piercing, because when taken out it's not noticable much either...

well it is all up to what you think you want to do...like I said before 2 gauge is the point of no return for gauging your ears. mine are at 5/8.....as for the lip piercing....it doesn't hurt.....I did mine myself with a rather large Yarn Darner needle....so I imagine if you get it done professionally it won't hurt. Don't worry about people talking about how stupid it is or whatever they want to say....everyone lives a different lifestyle than the other person.

Not trying to flame anyone but I dont see why you guys get piercings.. coming from a girls perspective..I wouldnt want a bf with any kind of piercing. it just doesnt look good and doesnt look right either! maybe i am just old fashioned, but peircings for guys? please no!

ya i agree guys shouldnt have any peircings. also if you are gona get the peircings in you ears ok but dont get your lip peirced because just think about what happens when you eat or drink if there is a hole the size of a pen in your mouth :confused: it may just be me but it would piss me off if every time i ate my drink would trickle down my face. just my opinion not trying to flame you but i still think that a hole the size of a pen is a big hole

dude i can help ya out on this one...dont worry about all these people flamming you...if you want to do it...dont worry what others think....i got 00 in my ears and a 6 in my tongue..i also have a mohawk...who cares..if everyone listened to what others thought we would all look alike...now on to how to guage...go get yours ears pierced and wait a few weeks...then go buy some tapers...tapers are what you use to stretch ur ears..like the small end is a 12 and the other end is a 8...u just push them thru ur ear then put the earring in..i've also used nails and other things around the house..only thing is dont try to guage em out by jumping sizes...take ur time or you'll rip your ear like i did...also gaugin doesnt hurt much...any normal human could take it...and for gettin ur tongue pierced..yea it hurts pretty bad but i done mine myself but i had all the professional stuff so i say it would hurt if u let a pro do it...i dont have my lip but some of my buddys do and they say it doesnt hurt

To your question about the lip.

I used a slightly large Yarn Darner Needle to mine myself.

It didn't hurt at all. It took a few hours to get it all the way through and then to get the ring in.

But. I suggest getting it professionally done.

It heals better, but...if you do it yourself.....get mortons salt and put it in water then mix it up and pour it on your lip and clean it with that....it tastes horrible but it's the best thing for it.



I actually took my lip ring out because I started riding again...it's too much of a worry for me to get it ripped out if I wrecked or something.
