chain length

i was wondering if anyone could help me out i have a 02 raptor and just picked up a +1 1/4 RPM swingarm if im running stock sprockets how many links should i lengthen the chain

Thats a good question. I'm not even sure how to calculate that up. I know how to calculate for larger-smaller sprockets

im guessing 2 and a half inchs worth of links will get u there. u might just want to buy a new chain to make things simple.

Buy one that you know is too long then cut it to length after a test fit. It would work. Just my two cents though. Steve

i completely forgot how many is in mine, sorry! i just ordered it too long, grinded down the pin, knocked it out, threw the master in and i was done. pretty easy to do, or you can have any motorcycle, atv shop do it for you. just adjust your chain tightener in, put the chain on, mark where you need the link off (remember to add in the length of the master link) and take it to someone!
