Im thinking of going with 1 tooth larger in rear. I have HRC and 20inch razr2s and i love it but wouldnt mind a shorter gear with snappier power.

Supradean,

My friend let me ride his stock '06 R on Thanksgiving at Glamis. He re-geared, 1 tooth front, 1 tooth rear. I thought it rocked. In fact I beat his son up Olds. His son has a '04 R, piped, jetted, and a HRC kit. I weigh 225, his son 180, and I beat him by a quad lenght, and it could have been more. I'm not that good, and he is. He was pissed!

he went to a "12" tooth in the front???
Is that possible?
Please more advice!

Supradean,

Yes, 12 front, and 39 rear. Of course you know you will lose a little top end, but acceleration wise, it rocked! He still does not have the HRC kit on it. I rode it stock gearing, and then when it was changed. The difference was night and day as far as I am concerned. Just "seat of the pants" tells you that.

thats what i am going to do 12 on the front. but i might put 22 mudlights on the back. but only in the mude and snow and then i will leave the 12 on the front when the 20s go back on.

Can anybody else chime in on this?
I would think a 12 tooth would really change the whoel feel overall. Would it be wiser to do one tooth bigger in the back?

Please do let me know...im curious how the power would be diff from doing front or back

U could probly let the clutch out in 4th with that gearing
