and never spend any time on them..

do people build them too big? make them too powerful, to where they cant handle them?

i just dont get it..

if i could get my hands on money for a motor like that.. you wouldnt catch me selling it..

This is a Honda TRX 250R motor. But not just "any" motor. I just had this motor built this past Nov.-Dec. I called up LRD and ordered a BRAND NEW motor. Not a built from used parts motor. They took about 30 days and over $7,240.oo later, you have what you see here. It is a 05 LRD 350R Power Valve motor ! THIS IS THE REAL DEAL ! EVERY part of this motor was new. It has ONLY ten to twelve 20 min. motos on it since it was built ! THATS IT ! It has NO play time or trail time. Then we took it down and put a BRAND NEW top end in it and it hasn’t been started since !

This motor started out with brand new cases that where completely media blasted. And they built a ground up, new LRD 350R motor. And added things like, Nac’s case saver and kick starter, V-force reed cage, Air striker carb, O-ringed head, filter skin for the power valve, etc. This motor is as fresh as fresh can be. You will get everything you see pictured. LRD big bore pipe, Curtis Sparks big bore silencer, electrics, clutch cable. etc. This motor, pipe, and carb are tuned to run as a system. And believe me, IT RUNS !

This thing will flat out eat up and spit out the new 450's !

see.. what i dont understand is.. why would someone put that much money into their R, and then sell it for half as much?

the only thing i can think of.. is too much scary power :devil:

for 3500 yea its worth it people that know how much money it takes to put a motor together KNOW it costs a decnt buck to build a motor like that

2 case halfs, 500-600
crank- 200-300
clutch cover 200-300
tranny and all other gears and forks clutch etc 900-1200
350 p/v from lrd with piston etc 1200-1300 mayeb even more.

so that price is about right but I wouldnt believe it unless i saw reciepts for everything

I have bought parts from him. He told me he had over 300K in R parts, said he had like 15 aftermarket framed R's. He is parting them ALL out. I forget why, he used to race or something like that. Anyways, his parts are top notch. I saw a few of his R's and WOW is what comes to mind.

Hmm maybe. I also saw that motor when it was up for bid. I wish i had the $ to get that. Would make a little power increase over my 270R.

as you see on that auction, the only people bidding on that motor KNOW what it costs to build that kind of motor. it was bought with buy it now for 3750 this was either some guy with alot of money, or even a kid that recklessly spent his savings for the motor.

but as you see, built R motors COMMAND the JUICE:devil:

no four stroke will come close to touching the bike with that motor

yeah i agree..... that motor would kill a 4 stroke

If I had that kind of money to drop on an engine I would have psi put their 425 with hydraulic power valve and diala dome compression on my R
