I was wondering how is the handeling and grip on the 400ex with the turftamers 18/9.5/8 inches wide. Would anyone reccommend them to me, im getting all new tires soon. up front im getting holeshot MX 19/6/10.

thanks

I have 18/9.5/8 tamers on my 400. I love them, they hook up great on the track alot better then the shredders i had and the 9.5 width makes them slid in the turns better. Plus they are only $35. You cant go wrong

get the 11's it makes the quad wider giving better stabliliy in corners, also alot of people say that 9.5's come off in corners even on ulimte bead locks ( ask chris29 or rico, they will clearify that).
just my 0.2 cent
i am getting 11's so i'll see how they handle

I run the 11's.

There are 3 downsides about the 9.5's

1: Less traction
2. Wear out faster
3: Break the bead easier in turns.

The only upside about them is

1: they are $4.00 cheaper

i run the 9.5s on a modified banshee and i have yet to slip the bead, and i never seen anyone else do it either, i dont know which one is better, but next time im going with holeshots

I've never herd of the bead slipping, its all new to me. But i guess i'll order the 11's just to steer clear of trouble. Besides for 4 bucks and more traction you can't go wrong.

11's have better traction dempending on the surface. They have better floatation for loose. Despite the fact that the 11's are supposed to be better for loose my friends 9.5's hook up much better then my 11's. And I am talkin about a track built on an old riverbed so it is 90% sand. Just get both, tamers are so cheap you got to love them.

I think your stock wheels are 8's but I am not sure. You should be able to mount them on the same wheels your 11's are on.

Yeah they are but they are worth it, too bad I don't got the cash for them. I run .160 wheels for the dunes. I got to keep a beadbreaker handy all the time cause I get sand in the bead and they won't hold air. I'm always pounding flat spots out of them to.

if you ordered from RMATV, they should send you a tracking number in an email the day after you order. you should have also received an order number when you completed your online order. go to their website and click order status, enter your order number and zipcode and it will show you the tracking number if they have processed it. usually 3-4 days unless you paid from quicker shipping. i've always had good results from them.

you probably won't get the email until later today. remember that they are in mountain time, so they are a couple of hours behind you.

RM has always had stuff to me within 3 days. They are one of the greatest mail order companies out there. You want to talk fast, LRD had my pipe to me the next day by Fedex ground. Of course it would have been cheaper (and much cooler) to drive up there and pick it up.

when they give you the expected arrival time at your house is it usually that day or earlier? it says that its not going to get here for about 7 days. but it says that its already in NJ by me in transit.

You could always get the 18-11-9 holeshots and put them on your stock rims. Good luck finding anyone with them instock. :p
