front or rear?

if you are talking about the rear, I don't know..

now if you are talking about the front, do a search...but to answer your question......it will "work", is it safe, don't know...is it any better than your set up.....only you will know that....but if you want to try....I have the shocks for sale......also have the a-arms.....

the front u can buy a frame kit to mount em up front. but the back i think would be to long but not for shure. u could probly buy a lowering kit and it would fit.

Front you need a upper mount relocator bracket. The rear I don't think will fit but the best swap for the rear is the 2001 raptor rear. Thats what I have and it's awsome it just bolts right up and it has a resy. The only thing with the raptor shock is they are hard as hell to find and get harder by every passing day!

i have been looking for a raptor shock on ebay for ever and no luck, thats why i was asking about the REAR 400ex shock.
i all redy have 400ex shock up front and i just want to upgrade my rear shock

Keep looking on E-bay thats where I got mine. It is worth every penny I paid. I paid 175.00 cdn shipped to my door and it came with a shock cover. When you do find one if you have any questions send me a pm maybe I can help you. I tolck pics of mine being installed.

You will love it! I went from a blown stock rear shock to the 01 raptor. It's like night and day!

I bought a set of yfz450 front shocks on ebay for $197.

I will get the diamond j customs shock relocater and hope they fit. I like theirs because it has two ways to bolt up, high or low according to your preffrence.

Anyone else use the mount?

you will be so happy with the raptor shock. I have one and a I love it. I paid 168 using the buy now button while other people were bidding on it and I really wanted it. I think that I am going to send it out to get elka springs put on and convert it to SSD. You dont have to do this because from the sounds of it you wont be racing.
