Im not sure which to buy. Stage 1 or 2. I will be racing XC next season and I ride mostly trails, sandflats. I like to jump, do whoops, berms etc..

Also whats a good cheap place to purchase?

Any help would be great:)

im going with the stage 2 for xc next year. the hrc was great at first but I definitely noticed where a different cam could really help in the tight woods

stage 1 is for low to mid range. stage 2 is for mid to high range. i would get stage 2 for xc.. i have stage 2 and it works great. and i got mine from pappy, but contanct C&D racing for prices.

I have a 416ex, not 450r, but I put in a stage 1 and loved it for bottom - mid range. perfect for tight woods trails. problem was when I ride in open flats it would rev up, then seem to stop. My buddy has exact same setup as me with a stage II. His revs, and keeps revving, and has pretty much the same bottom end power as me too. I would go with stage II. One thing I had to change was how I hit the throttle, I had to keep it rev'd in higher rpms for the stage II. No big deal once you get used to it. the high rpms is where the power is.

Stage 2, unless you want A LOT OF low end, but it will sign off at about 6000 with stage 1.

I would go stage 2, since your in St. Louis just call JH Racing and order it. www.j-hracing.com
