a friend of mine has a 1989 or 1990 yamaha warrior and and he was rodding it like it was a 2stroke and it went boom i have pulled the motor off and it trashed the head broke valves and broke the rod thats just what i can see so far does anyone have one of these motors sitting around that they want to sale if so email me at joplincouriorguy@yahoo.com i would be very interested in buying it if the price was right and by the way thanks to everyone here who got the red bomb running again

sounds common for yamahas;)

should of brought a honda or atleast put a honda sticker over the yamaha sticker:rolleyes: :blah:

Nah, not a problem with the Yamahas.
The older warriors don't have a rev limiter. Like a car, you have to know when to stop.

buy a 250ex F- the warrior. A 250ex is the most dependible quad on the planet.
