Has anybody have a hard time kicking over a 450r with a High Comp piston...and if so what is your comp ratio.

ive heard from some other people that theirs is harder to start. make sure your vale clearances are correct is what alot of people have said when this problem arises

I went from stock to 13:1 to 13:75:1 and never even noticed a difference in the way it starts. Just make sure your clearances are set properly and you'll be fine

Yes, make sure to check both the intake and exhaust clearances. Plus, ALWAYS CHECK the clearance of the de-compression lever!!!
It's .006 +/- .001

If your using a cam that still uses decompression you'll hardly notice a difference. But if you run a hotcam or another cam that doesn't use the decromprssion setup you'll have to kick it much harder yes.

That is why I went with hrc cam right off the start.

I believe it mostly deals with clearences, not so much the compression.

Try to start a bike thats got 6 thousands of clearance on the decompressor cam, it wont happen....Its .017 for the decompressor.
