lol couldnt think of a better title for this sorry guys... just kinda wondering some basic facts on the 06 450r... i want to know what the top speed is and the hp/torque readings from the factory. i know they will fly but i havent had a chance to clock mine yet or anything like that just kinda wondering if any of you guys have done it.

I've also heard that it was something close to 42hp. The HPC kit is supposed to add about 30% more. With it, you're around 50hp.

ive seen dyno sheets read 38 and 42 hp stock (different dyno's) but im pretty sure its 42 hp, so its around there anyways. im not sure on the top mph. the HRC kit is made my honda and includes a cam, header pipe, muffler tip, jets, an airbox mod, and CDI unit taking it to 10000rpm. well worth the $300 imo and i'll be getting it in a couple months:D

I have a hard time believing it will do 78mph stock. I ran a trailtech speedo on my Banshee and it never went over 78mph, but I could easily pull away from my buddy riding a '04 450r (which is geared higher than the '06).

I would think the top speed is closer to 70mph. You may hit 78 on a dyno, but that doesn't factor in wind resistance.

04 stock rpm is 9800 no? It raises it 200 rpm? The CRF motor runs to like 11,000. Did you make a typing error? I think the 04/05 has the 38 and the 06 is 42, or something like that. But the powerbands are completely different. That HRC kit sounds great, didn't come with all that stuff for mine, pfff.

The module lets the '06 rev to 10,800 RPM or you can just cut the wire on the CDI box like I did, same effect. CRF revs to 11,500 RPM if i remember correctly.....

I'm saying around 40 stock....just my opinion. I call BS on the 50 HP with just HRC...maybe at the flywheel but not RWs. I have basically the same thing you get with the HRC and it doesnt feel like 50HP. Just my opinion once again :D

stock for the 04/05 was 38 rwh. the only 06 dyno I've seen under the DASA thread was only 1 horse more! Also the HRC doesn't include a headpipe for the 04/05 models, only the 06 models, which is why its also $350 v. $300. Top speed is closer to 75 or so. A banshees top speed stock is 71-72. A stock 450 will outrun a stock banshee, I know because my buddy owned both at one time and we raced continually down the road, same outcome every time no matter who was riding what.

60 HP? With what mods to the motor? Its possible with the '06 but its going to take a few motor mods.....i've rode one that should be putting out mid 50s HP and it was a beast.
