well im trying to replace my bearings on my 300 and i cant seem to get the axle nut off i am turning it the right way but it will not budge at all i tried PB Blaster to see if that will break it but got nothing... im thinking about maybe heating it up? any other suggestions?? i want to get this done asap snow is starting to fall already missed 3 storms =( lol

heat it and use a breaker bar. i had to use a 3ft one on mine.

were doing a rebuild of my 300ex and my dad had to use a propane torch put the other end in a vice and it still took him a while he had to heat it again before it came off

just use big pipe wrenches!this is what everyone uses . down to loosen. up to tighten. use a pipe ext and loktite blue when you tighten them or they will come loose!a loknot or antifade is the way to go if you have the $.

DON'T FORGET BACKWARDS THREAD!! there is also a c-clip in there i use a big pipe wrench. if you want an un-beatable axle nut go with a RAD lock-nut or LSR anti-fade nut.

I had to use a 24" Crecent Wrench @ a 4ft steel pipe w/ a 250 lb friend standing on the front bumper.. lol. Of course my axle was bent.. hehe.
