Whats everyones favorite amount of inches of snow to ride in? Mines 4 inches because its not enoungh to get stuck, but you still cant see the grass in your tire marks when you dont go full throttle.:)

Powder, lots and lots of powder. I ride quads, but snowboarding comes first:eek2:

If I had a quad it would prolly be 6 inches of powder, but that only lasts for the first few weeks of winter, then we get like 3 or 4 feet, which makes for good snowmobling:D

snow is a pain in the *** but road riding at all hours of the night is just a blast. its so open and going on the highways on a quad isnt a everyday thing :D

well we had just put are quads in my freinds garage but i imagine he have would he taken are names and were we live. we know most of neighbors well and we asked a few of them if they would care if we rode on the street and they said nahh just have fun. i wouldnt care im someone came out and told us not to ride on the road because we would have stopped but i dont like how they were being sneaky and not saying anything. i know its illegal, but we live in a small neighborhood on a not busy road. o well what can you do?:ermm:

Depends if I want to go out quadding or snowmobiling.

On the quad , usually just a few inches of snow is good .... 3-6 inches . For sledding , atleast 1 1/2 feet so that all the fallen branches and stumps are covered .... 4 feet or more for powder riding .

I took my 450 out today for the first time in almost 1 1/2 years ... there was only about 2 inches of snow covering the ground , but it sure made for some good sliding around corners on the road . Sucked out on the lake though .... time to put the studded tires on . :macho

I've blasted down the lake with my 450 with over a foot of snow . Once you get going just hold it to the bar and lean back as far as you can so that the front tires are barely touching . It's kind of fun ..... just be prepared for sudden change of directions and hold on tight in case the tires dig in . 5th gear wide open and having the front tires stick can catch you by surprise ..... but you'll know what happened after you've picked all the snow out of your helmet !!!!:grr:

well that depends if you mean in a storm or a season

for a storm i say about a foot or more at a time, enough to bother cleaning with my plow truck and enough to get out of school also.

for a season after adding up the all the snowstroms i would say about 5-8 feet to keep the sledders happy and to keep them on vacation longer

You get stuck with only 1 or 2 inches ???? I didn't think that was even possible .... heck I've seen Power Wheels trucks blast through that much with ease .

Might be time for new tires on the 400ex if 1 - 2 inch is giving you problems !!!! :p
