Does anyone know who makes the carbon fiber chassis skidplates for an 04 450R? I saw em on ebay, but it was a while back.

There is one on ebay right now......84.99 plus 15.51 shipping...I have talked to this guy and seems knowledgeable.....I asked him about one for an 06 cause the one he sells on ebay are for the 04-05's.....and the drain holes are different....But I am not sold on the carbon cause I am not sure if it will hold up to XC riding.....does anyone have any info on this subject...thanks in advance

i got one off of e-bay. i prolly spent 2 hour trying to get it on last friday night and its still not done yet.... i would stay away from them or go with the quadtech...... the plate itself seems alright but the way it is mounted is just not working out......when i get it mounted (whenever that is) i will try and post some pics

what is wrong with the mounting points or process.....don't any of the holes line up or what...let me know......but I am really undecided on the standard aluminum or the carbon fiber.....I ride all XC and trails....and I don't know if it will hold up...

yeah thats exactly what i was wondering cause i kno carbon fiber is real strong but would it hold up for xc races and hard trail riding?

I don't know about carbon fiber protecting my undercarriage. i could be wrong but i could just see it geting destroyed pretty easily.

I decided just to stick with aluminum, i got an armadillo, best bang for the buck.

the carbon fiber would definitely shatter if it got hit too hard on the trail, i would imagine that it would be okay for motocross applications, but not for a trail bike

I mainly ride in sand, but on occassion we head up to PA out in coal country, i think the aluminum one will with stand some bashing.
