Christmas tree problem

well problem is my mom bought a 12 ft prelit christmas tree and its too tall. our ceelings are like 9.5ft i dont know how to get this tree to work....taking it back is not an option. so somebody please give me some ideas how to get this mofo to work

i say his idea, even if it is a fake tree. it should be easy to cut through the center of it to make it a little smaller.

We had the same problem a few years ago ... luckily for us ours was in sections , so we just left one of the middle sections out . :blah:

it is a fake tree i am thinking about taking a hack saw and sawing about 3 inches off each section that should give us maybe a foot of clearance....but it would still be 11 ft tall

to give you an idea of how gianormous this tree is....the stand that holds the tree up is 4ft wide....the base of the tree is 7ft wide
