lately i've been thinking about taking my 330 kit out of my 300ex and puttin a .060 over bored stock cylinder back on with an 11:1 wiseco. For some reason my quad feels like it had better power from the smaller bore (0.20 w/ wiseco 11:1). The motor right now seems like when ur revving it out like theres more there but it doesn't pull it just revs, i'm thinkin of richen the main jet and seeing if it will pull better? any ideas on why the quad is doign this w/ the bigger bore?

What else has been done to the engine besides the 330 ?.... do you have a Carb, Cam, Port ?? I have that same kit i my 250x, with a 400ex carb, custom cam and ported head, and I will eat a stock 400ex by 4 bike lengths !! A big piston only helps if the engine can breath... :)

big bore arent always the way to go i know up at the local flattrack lot of us just running in the top five justjot high comperesion pistoncam and pipe and we justout run some of the 440. big bores get more torque thats a bout it. and if you think about it moving that bigger piston isnt going to be easier.

Why worry about the 300 when you have a 450r? You havent sold the 300 yet? I say not mess with it.
