Axle Removal Question

I am removing my axle on my 2004 400ex and swingarm. I am taking it apart because I am relubing it and powdercoating it gloss black and chroming the axle. I am wondering if there is any tricks I should know, or any tips? I also have a question about the inner lock and outer lock on the axel! How do you take it off? Any help will be appreciated.

well if its the same as my 300ex i can help u out on the axle. make sure to take off both spindles, use a rubber hammer to pound everything out. if its been in there awhile it will take some muscles:macho

to get the in and outer locknut off u gotta back the big locknut off enough to remove the snap ring, and go from there.
